Supplier Selection
The quality of our products begins on our farms. We work exclusively with approved suppliers, audited, and closely monitored by our technical team. Our raw materials come from partner farms that adhere to strict traceability, animal health, and sustainability criteria. In addition to regular audits, we apply laboratory analysis and self-monitoring programs to ensure that each stage is aligned with good agricultural practices. Animal Welfare
Animal welfare is one of the pillars of our work. All stages of management—from breeding to slaughter—are conducted with a focus on respect for the life and integrity of animals. We adopt internationally recognized protocols based on the Five Fundamental Freedoms and conduct ongoing training with our team to ensure humane practices. We use adapted structures, curved corrals, and appropriate transportation, as well as stunning methods authorized by the SIF, promoting an ethical and safe slaughter process. Traceability
Traceability is one of the greatest guarantees of trust and security we offer the market. We monitor more than 1,300 rural properties through a partnership with SMGeo/NICEPLANET, which uses advanced geospatial intelligence technology to verify, for each purchase, that the origin is free from deforestation, environmental embargoes, indigenous lands, or protected areas. The system also consults extensive labor, land, and socio-environmental databases, ensuring full compliance. With more than 343,000 hectares audited, we guarantee sustainable livestock farming, with legal transparency, social responsibility, and respect for the environment.
Audits, Certifications and Compliance
All Astra Foods products are inspected and approved by the Federal Inspection Service (SIF) of the Ministry of Agriculture. The SIF seal guarantees the sanitary and technological compliance of foods, attesting that they meet the strict sanitary requirements in Brazil and abroad.
